After breakfast prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience! Let’s raft in the stunning countryside of the Polish Tatra Mountains. The first stop on the way to Dunajec is in Debno, where you will visit a unique and charming wooden church that dates back to the 16th century, which is currently listed in the a UNESCO World Heritage Site list. Afterwards, the ride will take you to the Dunajec River, where you will enjoy rafting on traditional wooden rafts surrounded by the beauty of the Tatras. The towering cliffs and the limestone rock formations of the gorge are enhanced by the picturesque mountain scenery, the surrounding national forest and the colourful river-guides make for a wonderful day in a pristine and wild environment. The best way to finish such a high-adrenaline expedition is enjoying a picnic in the countryside.
After a well-deserved rest from the day’s adventures, you will have the chance to discover the local treasures of Zakopane, such as the ancient cemetery, where many famous artists from Poland came for their last rest. The Museum of the Tatras is installed in one of the few remaining houses build in the Zakopanean style, a place where the lifestyle of the beginning of the century comes to live thanks to the exhibitions of typical costumes, artworks and many more. Down through Krupówki, the visitors will find the Big Market, where a table with different varieties of the region’s famous goat cheese will be waiting for them. The big market offers a lot of products in wool and wood, and it is well worth a stop; however, for us is just the beginning of a trip to the top of the Gubałówka mountain. Besides a splendid view of Zakopane and the Tatras, Góbałówka also counts with facilities where travelers can sit down, relax and enjoy the fresh air of the mountain after a day of excitement.
